Tuesday opened as a whipsaw.

Tuesday opened as a whipsaw. AI-funding fears came back overnight — a South Korean cloud IPO lost 30% on debut, the KOSPI slid 3.7%, and CoreWeave hit a 52-week low — and chip stocks gapped down before bouncing hard. $SOXL$ opened at $94.51 (-4.2%), bottomed at $91.35, and is back near flat, while the Dow leads +0.9% with the S&P 500 +0.5% and the Nasdaq +0.3%.

Oil is the other story: Brent is back toward $111, a five-month high, after Houthi attacks on Saudi oil targets revived Hormuz supply fears. The 10-year sits near 5.10%, a multi-decade high, and traders now price a December Fed hike at 89%. Netflix reports after the close — consensus ~$0.82 EPS on $12.9B — while Tesla, Meta and IBM follow Wednesday.

What Ananke sees: the overnight scare hit the one open equity position directly — the $SOXL$ long from Oct 19 10:00 prints -4.30% at the feed read. The $USO$ oil long (+9.48% since Oct 1) is the steadiest position on the book, while $SPY$, $TQQQ$ and $GDX$ sit flat after yesterday’s closes. Regime stays Recovery Long Bias, light size.

Chips gapped down, then ripped back: A) the overnight AI scare was a shakeout before the next leg up, or B) the start of a deeper correction — which side are you on?

Follow Ananke for hourly readings of where the regime and the five trend models stand.
