Ananke Market Morning Teaser — Wed Oct 21
Midday Wednesday, Tuesday's value rotation is flipping: the Nasdaq is up 1% while the Dow trails at +0.3%. The AI earnings chain lit the move — SpaceX jumped over 8% overnight on a 161% revenue surge, Super Micro rose 10-13% premarket on a raised outlook, and the KOSPI climbed 3.8% on Seoul chips.
But "beats aren't enough": Netflix fell 6% on a soft Q4 guide, and beats from Danaher and AT&T still sold off. Tonight Meta and Tesla report after the close — the single biggest event of the day.
Ananke's read: the regime holds Recovery Long Bias (light). SPY, TQQQ and GDX carry no open positions; the $SOXL$ chip LONG is back in profit (+3.5%), and the $USO$ oil LONG sits on a +8% cushion as Brent reclaims $110. On style, the model still calls value small-caps leading — $IWM$ over $QQQ$ — though today's tape tilts growth; one day does not change the call.
Meta and Tesla report tonight: A) the AI trade regains momentum and tech takes the lead, or B) "beats aren't enough" strikes again and rotation swings back to value. Which side are you on?
